I’ve developed a tool in the form of an Excel spreadsheet to assess the relative strength of buildings which is working well for me. It should work for most people and is completely customizable. It only takes into consideration Forge Points and Military Boosts. I’m in Space Age Space Hub and by the time you get to the Space Ages, Goods, Supply and Coin production are almost an afterthought.

• The spreadsheet is populated with building data through the Viking Event 2026.
• Buildings which produce only coins, goods, and/or happiness are not included.
• The size of the building and whether it requires a street is factored in.
• Buildings created since mid 2025 include where they came from in a comment.
• Information about other items they provide that are not included in the score.

To simplify tracking, Attack/Defense for Red and Blue are summed and tracked for general combat boosts, Guild Expeditions, Guild Battlegrounds, and Quantum Incursions.

This is a work in progress and will be updated periodically. Please let me know about any missing buildings of importance.

If you add a building to the sheet, insert a row ABOVE the last row and fill in the pertinent columns. Column I, just to the left of the Comment column, contains the formula for the Score so don’t overwrite those cells. Remember GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out). The weighting for each factor on the “Scoring” sheet is easily modified to fit what’s important to you.

I’m CPRouse and have been playing FOE October 27, 2013 when the Progressive Era was as far as you could go. At that time the game was significantly simpler, and I was playing in eight worlds. As the game has become more involved, I’ve reduced the number of worlds I’m in and in March 2026 cut back from two worlds to my original world in Arvahall.
